Kingstowne Lake

I would say this is the blog of the geese. The other day we went to this little park/lake/fake lake located in Kingstowne Alexandria. We go there very often because we have near there one of our living essentials Walmart. This place more than a park it is more like a trail where people that live around the neighborhood can exercise. One of the best parts is the wildlife, over there you can find a lot of geese, that it can be something nice and at the same time dangerous because they can be a bit aggressive.
The neighborhood is very nice, it would be a nice place to live if you have a beautiful view like that one.
The day that we decide to walk around the lake it was pretty hot but most of the trail has a lot of trees around that give you a very nice shadow.
You can find this place as Kingstowne Lake, and in case you come here, there is a big shopping center next to it where you can end up your big day. 

Yo diría que este es el blog de los gansos. El otro día fuimos a este pequeño parque / lago / lago falso ubicado en Kingstowne Alexandria. Vamos allí muy a menudo porque tenemos cerca uno de nuestros elementos esenciales de la vida, Walmart. Este lugar más que un parque es más como un sendero donde las personas que viven en el vecindario pueden hacer ejercicio. Una de las mejores partes es la vida silvestre, allí puedes encontrar muchos gansos, que puede ser algo agradable y al mismo tiempo peligroso porque pueden ser un poco agresivos.

El vecindario es muy bonito, sería un buen lugar para vivir si tienes una hermosa vista como esa.

El día que decidimos caminar alrededor del lago, hacía bastante calor, pero la mayoría del sendero tiene muchos árboles alrededor que te dan una sombra muy agradable.

Puedes encontrar este lugar como Kingstowne Lake, y si vienes aquí, hay un gran centro comercial al lado donde puedes terminar tu gran día.

Cherry Blossom 2018 Los Cerezos 2018

After a very long winter, Cherry Blossom season finally arrived. 

For me, it is like a sign that the weather is getting better, and with that, that better things are about to come, this is the moment when I can really say that a new year is happening. 

Looking for the best day to go to DC to see them it is like a  challenge, everything depends on the weather, this year has been terrible cold, and I am sure that since I moved here in 2008 I had never experience to have so many cold days. Thank God, for us, it was just cold and not snow as it happened in other states, that it is why I keep saying that Virginia it is a nice place to live.

The day that I decide to go and see these beauties it was on April 10, that was supposed to be the last week in which the blossoms would look the best.  The only problem about that day was that it was so cold, and again as it happened to me in the past years I was not prepared for it.  Other than that it was sunny and people were crazy trying to take pictures. In my experience, I will recommend going early in the morning when it is less crowded because the nice spots are always full, also, have enough time to be able to spend there to really appreciate the blossoms. 

Every time I go there, I always hope to be able to come back next year.

Después de un largo invierno, la temporada de Cherry Blossom finalmente llegó.

Para mí, es como una señal de que el clima está mejorando, y con eso, que están por llegar cosas mejores, este es el momento en que realmente puedo decir que está sucediendo un nuevo año.

Buscar el mejor día para ir a DC para verlos es como un desafío, todo depende del clima, este año ha sido terriblemente frío, y estoy seguro de que desde que me mudé aquí en 2008 nunca tuve la experiencia de tener tantos días fríos. Gracias a Dios, para nosotros, fue simplemente frío y no nieve como sucedió en otros estados, es por eso que sigo diciendo que Virginia es un buen lugar para vivir.

El día que decidí ir a ver estas bellezas fue el 10 de abril, se suponía que sería la última semana en la que las flores se verían mejor. El único problema de ese día fue que hacía tanto frío, y de nuevo, como me sucedió en los últimos años, no estaba preparado para eso. Aparte de eso, estaba soleado y la gente estaba loca tratando de tomar fotos. En mi experiencia, recomendaré ir temprano en la mañana cuando está menos concurrido porque los lugares agradables siempre están llenos, también, tener el tiempo suficiente para poder pasar allí y realmente apreciar las flores.

Cada vez que voy allí, siempre espero poder regresar el próximo año.
